Zusammenfassung:Vital and necrotic pulp chambers were sampled for facultative and obligate anaerobic bacteria, using the techniques described by the Virginia Polytechnic Institute anaerobe laboratory. Anaerobes were not found in vital pulp chambers. One or more anaerobes were found in 64 % of the infected necrotic pulp chambers. The results are in accord with similar previously published studies.
