BODY SIZE OF UNITED STATES SCHOOLBOYS AT AGES FROM 11 YEARS TO 15 YEARS

A description of original somatic data on samples of Iowa children, & a comparison re findings on US children from certain ethnic & secular groups. Head width, face width, stature, & body weight of a sample of 520 white boys were measured. Central tendency & variability statistics are presented, showing: 'absolute mean/average size of a particular dimension at a given age;' 'relative mean/average size of diff dimensions at a given age;' 'centimeter change in mean/average size during the ontogenetic period studied;' 'percentage change in mean/average size during the ontogenetic period studies;' 'variability of a given dimension at a specific age;' 'age diff's in the variability of particular dimensions;' & 'overlapping of distributions for selected dimensions.'
