Zusammenfassung: | Ectopic gastric mucosa may be located at any level of the gastrointestinal tract between tongue and rectum. The ectopic mucosa is often associated with a Meckel's diverticulum and only rarely is present without an associated anatomic anomaly. Most often ectopic mucosa without such an anomaly is present in the duodenum, and least often in the ileum. To date, 12 patients are reported to have had ectopic gastric mucosa without an associated anatomic anomaly in the small intestine distal to the ligament of Trietz.
1,2 The purpose of this report is to describe an additional patient with ectopic gastric mucosa in the ileum. |
