Immediate and secondary reconstruction of the floor of the mouth and mobilization of the tongue by a new technic

Some of the previous methods for reconstruction of the floor of the mouth following radical surgery are discussed. A newer technic utilizing a buried skin graft with a rubber stent is described. Its advantages provide for improved speech, better control of saliva and the use of dentures.
