Zusammenfassung:Supernatant fluids from mouse cultures productively infected with Friend leukemia virus contain, in addition to virus, large quantities of the major virion glycoprotein (gp71) in soluble form. The release of this antigen in cell culture is of practical value for its large-scale isolation in nondenatured form. It may also have bearing on how the immune system of the mouse deals with virus infection and leukemogenesis.
