Zusammenfassung:The characterization of a quantum-dot mode-locked laser (QDMLL) integrated patch antenna pattern is discussed. The repetition rate of a 4.1-mm-long QDMLL is 10 GHz. Improvement of the radiation pattern results from using a matching network between the laser diode and the proposed antenna. When an antenna is matched to a quantum-dot mode-locked laser, the radiation intensity at φ = 0° and θ = 0° is increased by 8.84 dB over that of the unmatched case.
