Zusammenfassung:Fourteen patients with bezoars due to the ingestion of persimmons are presented. Ten patients had a bezoar associated with a benign ulcer, one patient with a carcinoma and one patient without evidence of any other associated pathologic condition in the stomach. Massive hematemesis was the presenting symptom in five patients and necessitated emergency surgery.
