Zusammenfassung:In recent years numerous studies have been conducted to determine the cardiovascular effects of the different prostaglandins in man and in animals. These studies indicate an effect of prostaglandins on myocardial contractility and coronary circulation. The purpose of the present communication is to draw attention to the possible role of prostaglandins in cardiac metabolism and to the relationship between prostaglandins and other cardiac lipids.
