Zusammenfassung:	1. 1. The isolated perfused gill system was used to examine the effects of various herbicides and pesticides on sodium uptake and branchial vascular resistance. 2. 2. The pesticide, p, p′-DDT, significantly increased sodium uptake and flow rate at the concentration tested. 3. 3. The pesticide, aldrin, and the herbicides, atrazine and trifluralin, significantly decreased sodium uptake, but had no effects on flow rate at the concentrations tested.
