Zusammenfassung:Twenty-nine surgical cases of bullous emphysema are reviewed which have been treated in the last eight years. The most apparent effect of surgery was on symptomatology. Sixteen of the original 29 cases are alive and apparently well. One died after surgery and two others died later. Many of the remainder, though somewhat dyspneic, are definitely improved. None has had recurrence of pneumothorax.
