Zusammenfassung:Four diaphorases have been separated from sonicates of Pasteurella tularensis. A DPNH-specific diaphorase was obtained from deoxycholate extracts of the particulate fraction. It was stimulated by menadione. Three diaphorases were obtained from the soluble fraction: (A) a TPN-specific diaphorase, not stimulated by menadione, which had no detectable transhydrogenase activity. (B) A DPNH-specific diaphorase, stimulated by menadione, which had some DPNH-3-acetylpyridine-DPN but no TPNH-DPN transhydrogenase activity. (C) A non-specific diaphorase having high TPNH-DPN, and low DPNH-3-acetylpyridine-DPN transhydrogenase activity.
