Effect of Bretylium Tosylate (Darenthin) on Pulmonary Circulation

In a dose sufficient to produce a mild systemic hypotension, bretylinm increases pulmonary arterial pressure and venous admixture in the experimental animal. The clinical significance of these side effects appears to deserve some consideration.
