Zusammenfassung:Nygaard, K. & Fretheim, B. Jejunal transposition in treatment of postgastrectomy syndromes. Scand. J. Gastroent. 1974, 9, 59-64. A series of 26 patients operated on for postgastrectomy sequelae with jejunal transposition is reported. In all but one case an isoperistaltic segment was interposed. In 17 patients with dumping syndrome an excellent result was obtained in 10 (59 %), and improvement in 6 (36 %), whereas one patient was classified as unimproved because of persisting abdominal pain. Five patients were operated on because of malabsorption. Two of these were cured. Two were unimproved and were shown to have pancreatic insufficiency, and one was improved, but was later shown to suffer from sprue. The operation had no effect on 3 patients with dyspepsia (epigastric pain, vomiting). One of these later developed a stomal ulcer. One patient with bile vomiting was completely relieved of symptoms.
