Zusammenfassung:DURING work on dried specimens of cloacal contents collected in the Pare National de la Garamba, northeastern Congo, from various reptiles, the following serotypes of Salmonella were isolated : champaign (39 : k : 1,5) from a snake ; Crotaphopeltis hotamboeia ; plymouth (46 : d : 1,6) from the same specimen of snake and from a lizard, Mabuya sp. ; ramat-gan (30 : k : 1,5) from the same snake specimen ; tel-aviv (28 : y : enz 15 ) from a different specimen of the same species of snake ; and gatow (6,7 : y : 1,7) from a snake Psammophis subtaeniatus sudanensis . The identifications were made by the Enteric Laboratory, State of Illinois, Department of Health, and confirmed by the Enteric Laboratory, Communicable Disease Center, Chamblee, Georgia.
