Zusammenfassung:	Wistar RA 27/3 strain live attenuated rubella vaccine was administered subcutaneously or intranasally at varying titres of virus from 3·0 to 6000 TCID 50 to a total of 335 students attending two teacher training colleges in Edinburgh. Doses of 3 TCID 50 were fully immunogenic when given subcutaneously but equivalent results were obtained only with intranasal doses of 2000 TCID 50. An intranasal immunizing dose 50% (ID 50) value of 190 TCID 50 was obtained. The incidence of reactions between vaccination groups was compared.
