Zusammenfassung:The cellular structure of a transitory adenoma of the intestine of the pig was examined in paraffin sections, by fluorescence and by electron microscopy. Serum from an affected pig conjugated with fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) allowed the demonstration of particulate fluorescence in the apical cytoplasm of affected cells and electron microscopic examination identified irregularly curved bodies, 2 × 0.3 μm, with a structure characteristic of bacteria at the site of fluorescence.
