Evaluation of radiation response

One hundred seven patients treated with radiation therapy for Stages I, II, and III carcinoma of the cervix have had radiation response evaluations performed and have been followed for 5 years. The over-all 5 year survival rate of this group of patients was 57 per cent. Of the 107 patients, 76 had a good radiation response and, of these, 53 survived 5 years (69.7 per cent). Thirty-one patients had a poor radiation response and, of these, 8 survived 5 years (25.8 per cent).
