Zusammenfassung:A distinct clinical entity termed the microperforate hymen is described. A microperforate hymen is one which has a tiny opening, usually at the 12 oʼclock position, which is difficult to visualize. This study reviews our last 25 pediatric gynecologic patients with microperforate hymen. The diagnosis and management are discussed. The most frequent presenting symptoms are those of recurring vulvovaginitis and recurring urinary tract infection. Hymenoplasty yields good results.
