Red cell glutamate-pyruvate transaminase in studies of paternity cases in the United Kingdom

The recently discovered genetic polymorphism of human red cell glutamate-pyruvate transaminase (GPT) has been applied to 267 cases of disputed paternity, along with other well-established systems. The results indicate that GPT will be a useful additional genetic marker for use in paternity testing.
