Zusammenfassung:	CONGENITALLY athymic mice (nude mice) lack the T cell compartment of the lymphoid system 1–3 and their spleen has been extensively used as a source of B cells. It has been shown recently, however, that nude mice have a few T cells 4 and precursors for T cells 5 . These precursors can repopulate a grafted neonatal thymus and differentiate further 5 , migrate to secondary lymphoid organs 5 and restore some T-cell-dependent immunity 6 .
