Zusammenfassung:Data are presented for transfer of thiamin, pyridoxine, vitamin B12, folate, vitamin C, riboflavin, niacinamide, biotin, and pantothenate from the gravida to the fetus at various times following the intravenous administration of a load dose of these vitamins to the gravida during labor. Evidence points to an avidity for vitamins by the neonatal circulation even in the face of the maternal hypovitaminemia.
