Zusammenfassung:Disc sensitivity studies concerned with the activity of a new antifungal antibiotic, amphotericin B, against ninety-three strains of Candida albicans organisms, including both stock culture specimens and recent clinical isolates, are described. Amphotericin B was found to be active in some measure against all ninety-three strains studied, as evidenced by the presence of a zone of inhibition of Candida albicans organisms about antibiotic discs containing 30 meg. of amphotericin B.
