Zusammenfassung: | An era of data acquisition about nursing homes was ushered in 20 years ago, initiating a seemingly unending flow of information from local, state, and national surveys of nursing homes. Despite the recurring evidence from these studies that nursing home patients as a group tend to be grossly lacking in medical care, hardly any information about physicians' involvement in nursing homes has been produced. The present study attempts to break ground in overcoming the apparent reluctance about seeking information on physicians' participation in nursing homes, introducing a survey method demonstrated to be practical and productive. |
