Zusammenfassung:Increased incidences of gram-negative organisms are being reported in oral infections. The oral cavity may serve as a reservoir for gram-negative oral infections and may be a portal of entry for the general circulation as well. Monitoring of the incidence of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in a normal population appears indicated. The present study isolated P. aeruginosa from five of 400 salivary samples—approximately one per cent.
