Zusammenfassung: | A new method of correcting a tracheal stoma stricture is presented. It utilizes silastic tubes of rubber‐like properties. Increasing sizes are worn to dilate gradually the strictured stoma. The stoma is then maintained by the largest “stomal button” indefinitely. There was practically no irritation or inflammation in a series of 35 patients with problem stomas, and in no case was there failure to correct the microstomia. |
