Zusammenfassung:English Presents a close iconographic analysis of the paliotto of the Corpus Domini (ca.1400; Venice, Museo Civico Correr), a large, multi-panel, polychromed wooden relief sculpture created as an altar frontal for the nunnery by Caterino d'Andrea and Bartolomeo di Paolo. Highlights the iconographic and hagiographic mysteries concerning the question of who presided over the Miracle of the Mule. Notes that much of the iconography of the Paliotto focuses on scenes related to the eucharist and sacred feasting.
