Madonnaskulpturen i Stora Malms kyrka i Södermanland och omarbetning av skulpturer under medeltiden

English Discusses the sculpture from Stora Malm church in the context of a broader discussion about the common motifs and design features found among a group of ca. 60 Swedish sculptures of the sitting Madonna. Notes the combination of Romanesque and Gothic traits. Based on technical analysis, attributes the Gothic elements to later re-working of earlier Romanesque sculptures.
