Zusammenfassung: | The purpose of this article is to explore whether to use authentic materials in extensive reading class in Chinese universities. Based on the definition of authentic materials and theories of motivation, it analyzes the relationship between learning motivation and authentic materials. By carrying out an experimental Extensive Reading(ER) programme with using authentic materials, it draws the conclusion that using authentic materials appropriately can motivate students in ER class in Chinese universities. |
