Zusammenfassung: | Circulatory changes in human dental pulp have been investigated with the photoplethysmographic technique. The effect of respiratory maneuvers, local cooling and axial pressure has been studied before and after local application of anesthesia on the examined tooth. Local anesthesia has not altered the observed changes. It is suggested that the changes recorded by photoplethysmography of the dental pulp represent variations in blood distribution. |
