Pleural aspergillosis following resection for pulmonary tuberculosis

A case of contamination of the pleural space with Aspergillus fumigatus following segmental resection for pulmonary tuberculosis is described. Treatment by thoracoplasty with intrapleural instillations and intravenous injections of 2-hydroxystil-bamidine was followed by recovery from the infection.
