Late swelling after bilateral breast augmentation

Summary Late unilateral spontaneous swelling following textured breast augmentation is rare. Pathogenesis most commonly relates to intracapsular haematoma or seroma formation although aetiology often remains unclear. We report an intriguing case of late, spontaneous, sequential, recurrent bilateral seromas following breast augmentation. To our knowledge this is the first description following primary surgery.
