Zusammenfassung: | The case of an elderly woman with a metastatic renal tumor is presented. Because of the patient's general medical status, it was decided to give palliative treatment to the tumor by infarction. The renal artery was injected with isobutyl-2-cyanoacrylate causing obstruction of the artery. Follow-up studies showed a decrease in the size of the renal mass but active tumor was still present. This is presented as another way of palliatively treating inoperable renal tumors or possibly changing inoperable tumors to operable ones. |
