Zusammenfassung:	Several esters and hydrazides of substituted cinnamides were synthesized and characterized. Evaluation of their anticonvulsant activity indicated appreciable activity of hydrazides where no correlation could be observed between anticonvulsant activity possessed by these hydrazides and their ability to inhibit monoamine oxidase.
