Zusammenfassung: | The second survey in a longitudinal study of health factors was conducted in the rural district of Busselton in 1969.
Three thousand six hundred and seventy seven residents (89% of the adult population) participated voluntarily. Biochemical studies included analysis of serum by means of an SMA 12/60 AutoAnalyzer. Investigation of the variation of 12 serum components by sex and age is described, and compared with the findings of other recent surveys. Noteworthy differences were discovered in levels of calcium, total protein and albumin. |
