Zusammenfassung:Unilateral renal vein thrombosis following a severe Salmonella choleraesuis enteritis is reported in an 8-month-old infant. Clinical and radiological data brought about the recognition of this disease. The diagnosis was confirmed at operation. S. choleraesuis was cultured from the kidney. The patient recovered after nephrectomy.
