Zusammenfassung: | A treatment plan is required for malignant lesions originating in the cervix and/or corpus uteri and occupying both sites as determined by clinical evaluation. The results for a specially designed treatment program are provided and contrasted with the outcome for patients receiving a variety of treatment programs. It is stressed that results are essentially preliminary because of the limited degree of followup and because of the small size of the groups that were contrasted. Results to date suggest that carefully coordinated multiphasic therapy, consistently applied by a qualified team, leads to a lesser incidence of local recurrence and of significant complications than will be achieved by varied inconsistent treatment technics. |
