Zusammenfassung:The socialization of a child is dependent upon the dynamic emotional interchanges occurring both consciously and unconsciously between the child and all other significant individuals. The personality attitudes and behavior of a child vary in intensity and expression dependent upon the interchange between intrapsychic, instinctual forces and familiocultural pressures. The present article reviewed some basic psychoanalytic insights and described their emergence in the socialization of the child. Such insights are valuable in the awareness of the educator, the parents, the social worker, the psychologist and the physician. Psychoanalytic concepts perceived in individual development need validation through every instrument at the command. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2019 APA, all rights reserved)
