The operating room gown as a barrier to bacterial shedding

An evaluation of cloth, paper, and plastic surgical gowns reveals that a plastic, hooded gown reduces microbial contamination more effectively than does either cloth or paper by 71.8 and 57.3 per cent, respectively (P < 0.0005).
