Automated determination of enzymatic rate functions by the ‘gradient-flow’ method

Zusammenfassung: | Under optimal experimental conditions a gradient-flow method has been employed to obtain an automated recording of the velocity-substrate relationship for the enzyme horse liver alcohol dehydrogenase. Distortions due to mechanical factors as well as due to excessive reaction could be eliminated. A general criterion for safeguarding the validity of rate functions recorded by this method has been proposed. |
