Zusammenfassung:Recording centric jaw relation in certain groups of edentulous patients is sometimes difficult. A procedure has been recommended to condition patients to close their jaws in centric relation. The procedure requires the use of an acrylic resin splint or a modified mandibular denture to maintain the patient's proper occlusal vertical dimension while he does an exercise three times a day. The exercise therapy will gradually obliterate the unwanted eccentric reflexes and train the patient to close in centric relation.
