Hypophysectomy for reactivated disseminated prostatic carcinoma

Ablation of anterior pituitary function by open or cryosurgical methods provides satisfactory palliation for the majority of patients with reactivated metastatic prostatic carcinoma following previous castration and/or oestrogen therapy.
