Zusammenfassung:Summary Experiments performed on open-chest dogs indicated that epinephrine affects the synchronization of myocardial units both during the contraction and relaxation phases of cardiac activity. This increased synchronization may contribute significantly to the prolongation of the diastolic filling time which was observed in these experiments at increased heart rates.
