Zusammenfassung:Effects of crude platycodin on gastric secretion and experimental ulcerations were studied in the rat. Crude platycodin markedly inhibited gastric secretion and prevented peptic ulcers in the pylorus ligated rat but had a rather slight effect on stress induced ulceration. Curative effect of crude platycodin (25mg/kg/day) on acetic acid induced ulceration was also observed.
