Physician's orientation toward the legitimacy of drug use and their preferred source of new drug information

Based upon questionnaire responses of a sample of Los Angeles County MD's, the present study presented evidence that the source of information MD's prefer to use in learning about new drugs is signif'ly related to certain att's & beliefs about drugs in general. MD's preferring professional sources were signif'ly more likely to express conservative att's toward when drugs should be used than MD's preferring commercial sources & were signif'ly less likely to feel that Med advice from sources other than a MD was acceptable.
