Zusammenfassung: | Microradiography and autoradiography have both been applied to bone in studies of metabolism and pathology. Microradiographic studies have permitted measurement of the mineral density of bone and evaluation of bone tissue formation and resorption. The localization of radionuclides has been studied autoradiographically and, in addition to quantitating calcium movement in bone, has provided further understanding of mineral metabolism.. An understanding of these processes provides a basis for interpretation of skeletal imaging with radionuclides in investigation and in clinical practice. |
