Zusammenfassung:Two injections of para-Chlorophenylalanine (200 rag/kg), given intraperitoneally to male inbred rats, decreased the regional brain concentrations of serotonin, but not those of norepinephrine, by 60%. The same drug treatment protected the performance of an avoidance task from the amnestic effect of a transcorneal electroconvulsive shock given within half a minute after the one-trial avoidance learning.
