Zusammenfassung: | Either adrenalectomy, gonadectomy or hypophysectomy was performed in conjunction with lesions of the limbic lobe in order to test the hypothesis that the associated altered behavior resulted from altered endocrine functions. Neither adrenalectomy or gonadectomy nor hypophysectomy was found to alter the characteristic aggressive behavior of septally lesioned animals. The same was true with the docile behavior seen in amygdaloid lesioned animals. Dual lesioned animals (septal and amygdaloid) show both a delay in the septal syndrome and also a decrease in hypersensitivity. |
