Zusammenfassung: | There are instances when it would be useful to be able to predict that labor will or will not occur within a specified period of time. We measured creatinine, “fat cells,” and Δ OD450 in amniotic fluids. For each test, a positive result was associated with spontaneous labor in 77 to 81% of the patients. However, if two or three of the test results were positive, then labor occurred within 3 weeks in 92 and 100% of the gravidas, respectively. Conversely, if two or three tests were negative, labor occurred within 3 weeks in only 24 and 5%, respectively. |
