Zusammenfassung: | Fifty patients with adhesions of the labia minora were studied. They were evaluated as to age of occurrence, etiologic factors associated with the lesion, methods of treatment, recurrence and significance of the entity. All of the patients were premenarchal. Seven had labial adhesions even though there was definite clinical evidence of endogenous circulating estrogen. Anomalies of the urinary tract were found in 3 patients (6%). Medical management with topical estrogen cream proved to be a much better method of treatment than surgical or forceful manual separation. |
