Zusammenfassung: | A survey of 906 randomly selected American dentists in active practice indicates that there is a need and a desire for a specialty of dental radiology. About one third of the American dentists presently utilize radiographic services on a referral basis, and this number would more than double if specialists in dental radiology were available. Dentists need the services of a dental radiology specialist for extraoral radiographs, care of difficult-management cases, and interpretative services. A high percentage of those dentists contacted seem favorably disposed toward the recognition of dental radiology as a special area of dental practice. |
